Music Therapy

All human beings are able to respond to music regardless of musical ability. By using the creativity which lies at the heart of musical expression, we can develop a therapeutic relationship with individuals through improvisation and communication using sounds, harmonies and rhythms. These aspects of music can often mimic those found in language and can act as the basis for a new avenue of creative communication in which there is no need for verbal communication. Those who have interest in learning guitar or song writing would suit music therapy at ‘BABO’. We may sometimes have the opportunity to see live music that is both appropriate and therapeutic for the participant.
